Inspired by surrealist art as well as cinema, my Dollhouse series developed its own unique tale. This series of images have their own off-kilter scenarios; the characters themselves possess dream-like qualities combined with a sense of dark humor, making them appear a little haphazard or unstable. Each photograph is serendipitous as I do not plan out the exact photograph, but allow the work to develop in its own improvised way. The models and I work together to make implied stories, which can only be completed by the viewer’s personal interpretations.
